Ruhango donates to vulnerable genocide survivors

Ruhango district partners donated seven cows among others to the vulnerable genocide survivors in Mbuye sector in Ruhango district.

The donation event was held on June in Ruhango district.

The donated items include seven cows, houses and home materials in addition to wheel chairs for the persons with disabilities.

As part of the event, the district partners visited a genocide memorial site in Kabagali sector in Ruhango district.

Vestine Kakuze, one of the cow beneficiaries said that she will get manure to increase crop yields thus improving her social condition.

Another beneficiary, Delta Mukamazera from Kabuga cell commended the president Paul Kagame for initiating girinka program, saying she will take good care of the cow and donate to other vulnerable residents someday.

Epimaque Twagirimana, vice mayor for economic affairs commended the partners for their role in residents’ development and development of the district.

Twagirimana reminded the beneficiaries to protect all the activities that partners put across to improve their livelihoods.
