About 40 employees of Tigo-Rwanda Gicumbi branch in Byumba Sector, Gicumbi district, participated in cultivating crops of genocide survivor in Ruyaga village.

The act of compassion was done on April, 25, during Umuganda to support one Viviane Umulisa , a genocide survivor of Ruyaga village in Byubmba sector with food stuffs and other home amenities worth Rwf650 000

While speaking to this website, Emile Ngabonziza, the manager of Tigo branch in Gicumbi district explained more about the activity.

“Genocide survivors need our material and physical support during this period as majority of them are elderly widows who need our support,” he said.

“I am extremely happy to see Tigo employees coming forth to give us support,” said Viviane Umulisa

Theogene Bayingana, the executive secretary of Byumba sector commended the Tigo-Rwanda employees for the act of compassion, and advised the beneficiary to take good care of the stuff and money given to her.
