Ndengera Foundation donates health insurance to 200 vulnerable families

Rubavu sector authorities hand over Health Insurance (Mutuelle de sante) to beneficiaries in Rubavu sector

Rwanda National Police donated mosquito nets and fully-paid medical insurance cards to 100 vulnerable families in Rubavu sector of Rubavu district.

Ndengera foundation also gave out goats to 22 homes and also three families were given cows to aid them fight poverty.

During the event that was held on November 22, Reverend Pastor Simon Pierre Rwaramba explained that Rubavu sector administration helped them to choose 100 vulnerable residents.

One of the beneficiaries is happy to receive a cow, saying it will help her to fight poverty

“It’s our responsibility to support development of Rwandan, this comes as a supplement to the word of God to our beneficiaries to help them live a purposeful driven life,” he said.

Hassan Bahame, mayor of Rubavu district commended development partners like Ndengera foundation, saying they do a great job in improving resident’s wellbeing.

Bahame added that the district plans to urge other development partners to be part of improving residents’ health since many people cannot afford mutuelle de santé.

Ever since Ndengera foundation establishment in 2010, over 360 goats and six cows have been donated to vulnerable residents.
