According to Ms. Nadia Uwase who is in charge of development projects supported by World Vision in Gatsibo district, these wheel chairs were given to provide a sense of independence and mobility to the children with disabilities in this sector.

“We gave wheel chairs to these children with disabilities to ease on the limitations in their day to day work. We gave each one of them a wheel chair as they are seven and we plan to give out more 3 wheel chairs next week” Uwase said.

It is for the first time that these children with disabilities in Kiramuruzi sector were given such support. They were given livestock to rear, constructed houses for their families and included in other development projects.
