Volunteer Service Overseas (VSO) that operates in Ngororero district cares for the disabled people through providing for their needs and training.
One of the ways VSO helps the disabled ensures one of their workers follows up on the problems disabled people face and advocate for them.

On March 7th 2013 while welcoming Nar BAHADUR a new VSO worker from South America, Emmanuel Mazimpaka; vice mayor for economic affairs in Ngororero district commended VSO for the support they give to disabled people.
VSO focuses on the child education
Mazimpaka confirms that the lives of the disabled people have improved especially child education ever since VSO project started operating in Ngororero district.
This was confirmed by Theodette Abayisenga, district worker in charge of the disabled in Ngororero district asserts that VSO project aims at enabling disabled persons depend on themselves rather than waiting for help all the time.
