Some of the resident beneficiaries with the pigs
In the fight against poverty, Mercy ministries International church has donated pigs to 18 poor households that were left homeless after grass thatched housing (nyakatsi) abolition in Rwanda.
The beneficiaries are residents from Burinda cell, Rubavu sector in Rubavu district.
This comes to life after Mercy Ministries International helped these residents to get iron sheets to roof their houses.
Beneficiaries are thankful to the Mercy ministries international for being there to support and improve their social welfare.
Jean Paul Mukunzi, who works in Mercy Ministries International, says that they cannot preach the word of God to the needy and expect them to take it, that’s why they combine words and action.
Mercy Ministries International also promised to give former nyakatsi occupants in Rubavu district mutual health insurance, but told beneficiaries to strive and improve their standard of living.
