Nicholas Kubwimana
The founder of Humura Rwanda Association Nicolas Kubwimana 26years says that he founded the association to fight against the Genocide and its ideology among the youths with the aim of contributing to this cause.
« When the Genocide started I was only 7years, and thank I God I managed to survive,but after that I started looking out for the youths of my age, and could not find any »,says Kubwimana.
« This made me think of how lucky I was, and after this period I started reading books,then brought together a group of youths forming a club against genocide ».,adds the young man
« With time I started asking myself how I could get to other youths especailly the students, and this is how I came up with this association, Humura Rwanda, » he narrates.
This association’s main aim is to help youths in schools and those not in schools in different networks find ways of fighting the genocide not to ever happen again in the country.
It started in October 2012, and now it has about 2 networks, with a hope of 3 more in schools of Butare city by the end of January
Kubwimana hopes that by the end of this year 2013, Humura Rwanda will have about 201 networks across the country in different schools,with 193 in Huye ,3 in Musanze,3 in Nyamagabe and then 3 more in Rwamagana.
This association has a duty of educating people more about genocide, advocating for orphans of the genocide and bringing together the youths in the country to fight against the bad history of the country and to unite as one.
